Finding Health in Creativity
I wanted to write this to share my journey into becoming an author. I have always been interested in the metaphysical and spiritual realms. Having anxiety from being bullied and going through tough times, I wanted to look for other ways rather than the conventional avenues to find out more about healing and understanding why things happen.
I am the sort of person that holds in their feelings rather than expressing how I am feeling. This has caused a variety of problems from health conditions that I still struggle with now, such as emotional burn out. That's when I discovered journaling and writing down how I feel instead of speaking them. With a passion for spirituality, I wondered about writing a book but had the thought of "I'm not good enough to do that", so I put the idea to the back of my mind.
A few years on I got into reading poetry and enjoyed it. I found that it made me feel calm and took me into a spiritual sanctuary space where I felt relaxed. All of the poetry I read never rhymed, but something sparked me into creating poems that rhymed. I started with writing my 1st poem which was the Manifestation one that I have published on this site.
Manifesting is about putting thoughts and feelings into something you want to achieve, All you need is a positive mindset, to focus and believe, You can manifest anything into your life like a house, job or wealth, Some people use manifestation to help improve their health, There are different ways to manifest by using vision boards, gratitude and also visualisation, You can even start writing what you want by using positive affirmations, Raise your vibration and get into a positive happy state, Soon you will be living the life that you want to create
Then after I wrote a few more and a few more I got to 17 poems. I then had a thought that if poetry helped me, that if I published my poems, it might help or encourage people to write their own poems too.
A year on and I have finished writing my 2nd book of affirmations. I have always loved affirmations and have a passion to help others with anxiety and suffering mentally, physically & emotionally.
I thought why can't I write some poetical rhyming affirmations on a variety of topics, so I did and managed to write 60 affirmations.
Writing has really helped me to heal and discover new things.
